We may see more than expected iPhone 14 phones and Apple Watch Series 8 wearables during the September 7 event, according to Mark Gurman’s Power On Newsletter at Bloomberg. Apple forecast reporter said a continuation of 2019 AirPods Pro it is on its way and will be presented on Wednesday. Rumors of a successor to the AirPods Pro have been circulating for a while now, with a report last year courtesy of Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that heavily redesigned AirPods Pro headphones would be released in late 2022. According to Kuo, Apple is dropping the famous elongated stem that has been sticking out of the ears of anyone wearing AirPods from the first line of products launched in 2016 in favor of an in-ear stabilizing stem similar to that found in Apple’s excellent Beats Fit Pro headphones. The $250 AirPods Pro has come a long way, as the $200 Beats Fit Pro has touched last year’s price, sound quality, and battery life. apple upgrade regular AirPods last year, leaving the current Pro model as the most expensive headphones in the company’s lineup, while also being the oldest. The good news is that if you need headphones now and can’t wait (or the rumored new AirPods don’t whet your appetite), the Beats Fit Pro are fantastic and available right now.
