It was all hands on deck for Search and Rescue in the Central Okanagan Sunday afternoon. COSAR was called to assist in the rescue of an injured Kelowna mountain biker who had fallen and injured her upper body. The woman was driving on triple number six when she fell. COSAR attended with nine members and descended the railway until it connected with the injured woman.
Once she was stabilized, COSAR removed her using a UTV and brought her out to a waiting ambulance.
He was then shifted to KGH for further treatment. “This has been an extremely busy year at KVR. I think we get called every 10 days or so,” said Director of Search, Duane Tresnich. This was COSAR’s 65th call for 2022.
