91 mobiles On Wednesday, September 7, Apple will hold its last special event and unveil new products. Sure, there will be new iPhones and possibly a new version of the AirPods Pro, but arguably the most exciting release will be the new Apple Watch models. And now, images claiming to show the most intriguing of the new releases have surfaced. MORE FROM FORBESApple iPhone 14 Pro: Amazing leak reveals coolest new feature FullBy David Phelan Apple is set to release a new Apple Watch SE, as an entry-level option. Then there’s the Apple Watch Series 8, with new sensors and features. But most attention has been focused on what can be called the Apple Watch Pro. This is reported to be a watch designed to be more robust and durable, perfect for those who are into extreme sports. It is said to be bigger than the previous watches and will offer a new design. Now, in renders shared by 91mobiles, the watch is extremely different from any watch you’ve seen so far. First, the front appears to be completely flat, not the curved glass of the Apple Watch Series 7. This may increase its durability and resistance to damage. The report claims that the bezels will be very thin, so the larger watch will be able to accommodate a 49mm screen. By comparison, the largest watch so far has a 45mm display. So, as other rumors have said, this sounds like it’s going to be a big, bulky device that won’t be to everyone’s taste. Supposed Apple Watch Pro performance with a flat screen 91 mobiles Even more interestingly, the Digital Crown looks like it’s bigger, with sharper edges. And, in a complete departure from current designs, the Crown will be surrounded by a protruding casing, perhaps to protect the Crown in those sporty moments it’s designed for. Could this be the Apple Watch Pro with a large side case? 91 mobiles If correct, this casing just sticks out significantly, in what I’d say is a slightly un-Apple-like look. No doubt the notch is packed with tech, allowing for extra accessories or longer battery life, perhaps. But it looks very different from any other Apple watch. The renders also show room for the current Side Button in the extended housing and a separate button on the opposite side. This is something new, which no one had predicted. It makes sense, given the Watch’s supposed purpose. An additional button can add new measurements or make it easier to manage the recording of a run, climb or bike ride. Of course, such renderings only give an idea, not the final image, assuming they are genuine, which is not certain. But it’s certainly an exciting look at what we might see later this week.
