Police are asking people in the community to check surveillance cameras to see if they caught the person Friday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Germanos, a journalist for more than 30 years in Las Vegas, was found dead outside his home Saturday morning in Las Vegas. said the Vegas Review-Journal. The newspaper reported that the German was found with “stab wounds”.
“The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff,” executive editor Glenn Cook said, according to the paper. “He was the gold standard of the news industry. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years shining a bright light in dark places.”
The police department said officers were called to the scene just after 10:30 a.m. Saturday. and arriving officers and medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The police department did not identify German in its news release, but said “the identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death” will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The LVMPD homicide division is investigating, the release said.
