Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — Official Teaser
“Get ready for Phantom Liberty — a spy thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 set in an all-new district of Night City,” says the audio accompanying the reveal trailer, which you can watch above. “We’re really excited about it,” Cyberpunk 2077 game director Gabriel Amatangelo said of Phantom Liberty. “It’s a new plot style that we’re having fun with.” He also said: “1.6 is the last major update for old-gen consoles. Next comes a highly requested feature from the community, and that’s a complete overhaul of the police system as well as vehicle-to-vehicle combat. It gives you a whole new feel and dimension and immersion in the city.” Amatangelo continued: “There will be some smaller updates [for PS4 and Xbox One] mainly focused on technical support to keep it running smoothly, but all new future features and content [will only be available] on current-gen consoles as well as PC.” Also announced during Tuesday’s presentation was the Edgerunners update for Cyberpunk 2077, which is out today. It’s a tie-in with Netflix’s Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series, which premieres on September 13. CD Projekt claimed in April that Cyberpunk 2077 had sold over 18 million copies since its December 2020 release.
