For an upcoming trip with friends, Nipapron Meeking, 32, visited an affordable clinic on a friend’s recommendation to get an eyebrow tattoo. “I remember planning a trip with my friends and I wanted new eyebrows to look good,” Nipapron was quoted as saying. “A friend suggested a store. After the procedure, I looked in the mirror and was speechless.” Nipapron paid 1,500 baht (about $41) to the clinic located in Thailand’s Rayong province, and when she looked in the mirror after the procedure, she discovered two dark arcs of ink above her natural eyebrows. The clinic, however, closed suddenly the next day and Nipapron was unable to contact the owners. The 32-year-old said she felt so insecure that she hid at home for a year until another tattoo artist offered to do her eyebrows for free. It usually costs 15,000 Thai baht [approximately $410] but I am willing to do it for free,” Pattawee was quoted as saying. He added that the process will take three months as the old ink has to be removed and faded before the new eyebrows can be tattooed. With this new artist, I can finally live a normal life,” Nipapron was quoted as saying.
