(Image credit: Apple) NEEEEEE. It’s finally iPhone 14 time. Let me see those cameras. 2022-09-07T17:49:01.805Z
Apple AirPods Pro 2
(Image credit: Apple) AirPods Pro 2 next… PLEASE can we still have iPhones? Apple has kindly created this neat image so I don’t have to type in all the specs $249, order September 9, available September 29. 2022-09-07T17:28:53.287Z
Apple Watch Ultra
The Apple Watch Ultra is officially here (rumors called it the Apple Watch Pro). Durable, sporty, twice as waterproof as any Apple Watch before. It has an action button, plus three new bands – Alpine, Ocean, and another one I missed (but probably called something like Earthy). I googled it, it’s called Trail. To be honest, what I’m most excited about here is the battery life that can last more than half a day (or half a run). The Apple Watch Ultra is said to have 36 hours of battery life on a single charge. This expands to 60 hours with a battery optimization coming later this year.

(Image credit: Apple) 2022-09-07T17:11:13.766Z It’s all about ovulation and cycle tracking right now with the Apple Series 8, camera lovers. Pretty interesting for healthcare, of course, but give us the iPhone 14 already!
(Image credit: Apple) The Apple Watch Series 8 will be available in 4 colors and there will also be some new Nikon sports bands for sports fans – innovative, huh?! So this is the Apple Watch Series 8, with temperature detection, advanced ovulation tracking, collision detection and international roaming. The Apple Watch Series 8 will be available from $399 and $499 (mobile). You can order today and it will ship on September 16th.

Apple Watch SE 2
The new Apple Watch SE 2 will be available in 3 colors and a new manufacturing process is said to “reduce the carbon footprint by 80%”. It offers the core benefits of the Apple Watch ecosystem, at a lower price. To be honest, it looks like the previous one. I can’t think why the internet is complaining that Apple isn’t innovative… Prices for the Apple Watch SE 2 at $249 and $299, you can order today, available on September 16.

And so begins the “Far Out” Apple Event 2022…
Wherever you’re watching the live stream (hopefully with us on this live blog), the video stream is now LIVE! And we got swirling stars and funky music to introduce us. Apple CEO Tim Cook is here! Hello Tim Cook! let’s talk about three products that have become essential in our lives. “Always with you, whenever and wherever you need them!” Apple iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. He talks about unifying the three products: “something only Apple can do.”
(Image credit: Apple) Well, this is heartwarming – we’re seeing stories from Apple Watch users around the world to see how the product has changed their lives (and even saved lives)! There are all ages, nationalities, students…

We’re also likely to see new Apple Watch and AirPods models
As this is the digital camera world, at this Apple event we’re most interested in the new iPhone 14 – namely its cameras, their specs and capabilities, and what they can do for smartphone photography. But I should also mention that we will probably see Apple launch the Apple Watch 8 and AirPods Pro 2.
(Image credit: Apple) 2022-09-07T16:35:28.348Z 26 minutes left, guys! And no, it’s not a significant number, I’d just gone to make a coffee and missed the 30 minute countdown! What do you want to see from the next generation of iPhone cameras? I would like to see a megapixel boost in the main camera sensor, a lighter design and a lower price, but that last one is definitely not going to happen! 2022-09-07T14:35:44.020Z
Let’s talk about Apple’s ‘Far Out’ theme
Apple holds regular events throughout the year and before each event, it issues an invitation for people to watch live at home. Events always have nicknames – last year in September we got on the phone with California Streaming and learned more about Apple’s streaming services. Makes sense, right? Is it just me or does it sound like Apple is trying to give us some cryptic clues about today’s launch event? Far Out is the name, and it sounds very spacey to me. Could we see some telescoping lenses on the iPhone 14 cameras? Will the iPhone 14 cameras have astrophotography capability?
(Image: Future) Apple CEO Tim Cook continued the star, posting on Twitter. “Looking forward to an amazing Apple event.” Stellar means, or relates to the stars (astral), so perhaps we could see iPhone cameras capable of capturing images of the night sky. Good morning! Looking forward to an amazing Apple event. pic.twitter.com/8rwWBwX79V September 7, 2022 See more 2022-09-07T13:29:43.720Z Just when you thought we were all taking a smartphone launch too seriously, Buzzfeed goes and lightens the mood (opens in new tab). 😂
(Image credit: Apple) The Apple Store is being refreshed as we speak, ready to make way for some brand new, shiny, high-priced (hopefully high-spec) camera phones for us. Let him go. 2022-09-07T12:51:13.685Z
iPhone 14 pricing predictions
We previously reported that the iPhone 14 series is expected to get a price increase (opens in new tab) (not surprising given inflation rates!) and yet Apple may decide to freeze the starting price (opens in new tab) of the base iPhone 14 to remain competitive. We can hope, eh? Will Apple take a financial hit itself or will the increased cost be passed on to the consumer? Only time will tell. If you don’t want to wait and see (or just can’t afford it right now), check out the best iPhone 13 deals (opens in new tab).

iPhone 14 design predictions
We’ve already had a few ideas of what the iPhone 14 lineup could look like from rumors, like this updated (opens in new tab) design for the Pro models — which showed the iPhone models with two notches on the front of their displays (a pill and hole cut). More recently, we found another unexpected leak (opens in new tab) that said the pill and hole cutouts would not be visually separated when the screen is turned on – instead appearing as one continuous, longer pill shape. Confused; The rumor was echoed by Bloomberg’s much-respected Mark Gurman via Twitter, who said: “Having this separation would feel weird in use.” This is true. It looks like a wide pill-shaped notch. Having this separation would seem strange in use. 31, 2022 See more If the leak is true, it means that Apple will make the two display notches appear as one via software by blackening the area between the two notches. According to a 9to5Mac source, Apple wants the space between the two notches to display privacy indicators for the microphone and camera. It could also allow for a redesign for the Camera app itself!
Key Apple reporters 9to5Mac (opens in new tab) created this rendering of possible notch changes to the device’s design (Image: 9to5Mac)
So, will Apple redesign the camera app for the iPhone 14?
Currently, in the Apple Camera app, all controls are at the bottom of the screen (see below). The screen redesign could see Apple move to the top of the screen – rare settings may be located below the screen notches – giving photographers a larger view of the camera preview. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Will the Apple 14 series offer enough innovation?
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: innovation. Or in Apple’s case, a perceived lack thereof. I have loved Apple products for years since I managed to save enough money to buy the iPod classic. But even I – an Apple fan – recently got a little tired of it all and was tempted by the Google Pixel 6 (opens in new tab). Many users take to social channels to make jokes and memes against Apple, and last week even Samsung can be seen mocking Apple in a promotional video called Buckle Up (opens in new tab) ahead of the launch of the iPhone 14. The ad examines the iPhone’s low-resolution camera sensors, which haven’t really changed much in years. Megapixels aren’t everything when it comes to image quality, however, and Digital Camera World’s editor has posted about iPhone 13 camera megapixels and why 12MP is better than 108MP on other phones (opens in new tab). Either way, Apple is really going to have to do a LOT if it’s going to impress consumers like it promises to do this year.
iPhone 14 Series Predictions
(Image credit: Weibo) A leaked sheet from Chinese social media site Weibo (opens in new tab) shows us four possible iPhone 14 models: an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and iPhone 14 Plus along with specs like screen size. According to the spec sheet (which could turn out to be a fake leak) the screen size and resolution are the same on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro (6.1 inches), while the larger iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max they share a 6.7-inch screen. If true, that means Apple has ditched the Mini version (see iPhone 13 Mini (opens in new tab)) in favor of a Plus version. In contrast, with the iPhone 13 series, the iPhone 13 Pro and standard iPhone 13 models had different screen resolutions. Here you go…
